I’ve read/watched a lot of interviews from the perspective of gay for pay performers (they usually sound miserable bordering on disgusted) I’d love to see an in depth discussion from gay men with different opinions on it
I used to be so into “gay for pay” when I was younger (specifically 2scm) but thankfully I grew out of it. Whether it be real life or porn, I understand for some people a hot person is enough for them, but I find connection and intimacy attractive so knowing that a performer wouldn’t touch a man if money wasn’t involved is a huge turn off for me. I also think it contributes to the unhealthy obsession some gays have for straight men and continues society’s message that straightness is more desirable than gayness (much like “no fems”). Thankfully it does seem like times are changing and there are more out and proud gay performers who gay man are supporting.
